So Chippy and I made amends. We tied one on last night pretty good. I knew it was going to be an epic night when I asked him what he liked to mix with Three Olives and he said, "Absolut". So I drank some Vodka tonics and Chippy had his Three Olives & Absoluts. It didn't take long before Chippy turned on the karaoke channel and delivered a wicked rendition of Blue Christmas (in the style of Elvis, of course). My in-laws were laughing in hysterics. It was like the scene out of "Cable Guy" "Dumb & Dumber" when Jim Carrey lit his fart on fire. "It's just skin, Steven."
That said, Bowl Pick 'Em 7.0 is officially BACK! And boy, do we need it this year. There are some absolutely dreadful games on the docket this year. I'm sure Coach Dantonio and his crew are really getting Sparty fired up to head out to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. And another Big 10 powerhouse, Purdue, fired it's coach after "earning" a berth in the Heart of Dallas Bowl. Lucky for all of us, there is money on the line and we'll be glued to our tubes like Chippy during tomorrow night's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
E-mail me if you need an entry form. Rules haven't changed, but I'll reiterate them here anyhow:
Entry fee is $10 and there is no limit on the number of forms you can submit. Preferred payment method is two crisp five dollar bills.

Please try to have forms to me by Friday, December 14th at 6:00 PM EST. I will accept forms up until kickoff at 1 PM on the 15th, but prefer to have them a little in advance.
Rules are as follows:
- Pick the outright winner of all 35 Bowl Games (no point spreads).
- You will assign confidence points to each selection.
- Assign 35 points to the pick with which you are MOST confident.
- Assign 1 confidence point to the pick with which you are LEAST confident.
- The participant with the most points WINS!
- S/he who finishes last will win the Angie Guidi Lack of Achievement Award, which is really hard to do. I encourage you to submit a secondary form in an attempt to finish dead last. Harder than you think, tough guy.
Payouts will be contingent upon the number of participants and announced on Friday the 16th. Last year's winners:
1st Place--Ryan Stewart, $425
2nd Place--Sean "Hotpicks" Davis, $200
3rd Place--John Stromberg, $150
4th Place--Doug Rice, $100
5th Place--Dave Williamson, $50
Angie Guidi Award for Lack of Achievement--Stacy Carter
We've grown this thing every year of its existence. So pass the word and let's keep making this the nation's premier Bowl Pick 'Em pool (unofficially).
