A Decade of Baddest Bowl Pick 'Em Ever

That's right folks!  This year marks the 10th running of the Baddest Bowl Pick 'Em contest.  When I ran this for the first time in 2006, we had 36 entries.  It was highly personalized, I had nicknames and customized pages for everyone.  Since then, I've sold out and we are much more industrialized.  The entry form is designed for efficiency.  We added the blog instead of e-mail blasts.  Hey, Hoss, maybe we need an app for this thing?  Put together a business model and we'll work it out.

The year before Baddest Bowl Pick 'Em debuted, Ohio St. found themselves in the Fiesta Bowl against Brady Quinn and Jeff Samardzija's luscious locks.  I had just returned from my honeymoon in Punta Cana with my Notre Dame bride.  Needless to say, Troy Smith dispatched of the Irish and all was good in the world.  Shortly thereafter, we found out Stacy was pregnant.  So now I've got a 10-year old Bowl pool, a 10-year marriage, and a 9+ year old daughter.

I'm not sure what my point is here.  In fact, this is the dumbest thing I've ever written.

Rules haven't changed, but I'll reiterate them here anyhow:

Entry fee is $10 and there is no limit on the number of forms you can submit.

Preferred payment method is two crisp five dollar bills. You can also PayPal me at:

kjcarter@gmail.com

or send me a check to:

Kenon Carter

Dublin, OH 43016

Please try to have forms to me by Friday, December 18th at 6:00 PM EST. I will accept forms up until kickoff at 12:00 PM Eastern on the 19th, but prefer to have them a little in advance.

Rules are as follows:
Pick the outright winner of all 42 Bowl Games (no point spreads), including the BCS National Championship game. Your picks for the two playoff semifinal games will automatically populate into the Championship game fields for you.

You will assign confidence points to each selection. Assign 42 points to the pick with which you are MOST confident. Assign 1 confidence point to the pick with which you are LEAST confident.
The participant with the most points WINS!

S/he who finishes last will win the Angie Guidi Lack of Achievement Award, which is really hard to do. I encourage you to submit a secondary form in an attempt to finish dead last. Harder than you think, tough guy.
Payouts will be contingent upon the number of participants and announced on Saturday, December 19th.

Last year's winners:

1st place--Dallas Hannigan $500
2nd place--Lindsay Rice $275
3rd place--Rob Stewart $175
4th place--John Carter $100
5th place--Kevin Dietz $50

Angie Guidi Lack of Achievement Award -- Kyle Burton
